Course Outline

Learning Outcomes

The Excavator Simulator Training Pack offers a structured curriculum covering critical operational tasks, including:

  • Excavator controls and familiarization
  • Trenching, digging, and backfilling techniques
  • Material handling and safe load distribution
  • Hazard recognition and machine stability control
  • Certification preparation for professional excavator operators

Performance Metrics

Instructors monitor essential performance indicators, such as:

  • Safety violations and near misses
  • Precision in digging and trenching
  • Fuel efficiency and cycle times
  • Proper use of machine controls and attachments
  • Load handling accuracy and efficiency

Simulator Hourly Rental Rates

  • 4 Hours at $95.00 + GST per hour
  • 8+ Hours at $85.00 + GST per hour

One time 20% discount on a rigging or hoist course purchase after sim training payment is received.


Location

The training simulator is housed at Bigfoot Training Center - 2170 Carpenter Street, Abbotsford BC, in a specially designed room with sound dampening, air filtration, climate control and adjustable lighting.

Hours can be scheduled between 7:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Additional Details:

Simulator Training sessions can be combined with classroom theory and hands on practical training.

Qualified Supervision Plan for Level B Provisional Certified Operators is available.
