The Injured Worker Assessment at Bigfoot Academy evaluates the following areas:

  • Motor control and precision in handling equipment post-injury
  • Awareness of safety protocols and hazard recognition
  • Stamina and endurance in operating machinery over a period of time
  • Coordination in load handling, maneuvering, and task completion
  • Safe operational practices and return-to-work readiness assessment

Performance Metrics

During the simulator-based assessment, key performance indicators (KPIs) tracked include:

  • Safety violations and compliance with operational standards
  • Control efficiency, such as cycle times and machine responsiveness
  • Task completion times, focusing on whether the worker can maintain pre-injury performance levels
  • Load management, including stability and accuracy in lifting and positioning
  • Fatigue indicators, such as decreased performance over time

Simulator Hourly Rental Rates

  • 4 Hours at $95.00 + GST per hour
  • 8+ Hours at $85.00 + GST per hour

One time 20% discount on a rigging or hoist course purchase after sim training payment is received.


Location

The training simulator is housed at Bigfoot Training Center - 2170 Carpenter Street, Abbotsford BC, in a specially designed room with sound dampening, air filtration, climate control and adjustable lighting.

Hours can be scheduled between 7:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Additional Details:

Simulator Training sessions can be combined with classroom theory and hands on practical training.

Qualified Supervision Plan for Level B Provisional Certified Operators is available.
