LEVEL 2 ADVANCED RIGGER CERTIFICATION COURSE

Once you have completed the Level 1 Rigger Certification Course, you can take your skills to the next level with our Advanced Rigging training course.

Taught by an accomplished crane instructor and Rigger Certifier, the Level 2 Rigger Certification Course combines in-class content with practical experience.

Students receive classroom theory and hands on practical training including calculating load weights, finding load center of gravity, rigging loads and making actual crane lifts giving direction to the crane operator.

The goal of the Level 2 training program is to equip you for a safe career as a knowledgeable and confident rigger or rigging supervisor.

COURSE OUTLINE

Complex Load Calculations

• Calculate complex load weights
• Calculate complex combined load Centre of Gravity

Sling Tension Review

• Sling tension calculations for symmetrically rigged loads
• Use of sling capacity charts

Non-Symmetrical Sling Tension Calculations

• Share of load calculations
• Off-centre sling tension calculations
• Off-centre and unequal height sling tension calculations

Below the Hook Devices

Inspection & correct use:

• Spreader bars
• Lifting beams
• Plate clamps

Rigging for Suspended Work Platforms

• Regulatory requirements
• Rigging procedures

Tuition and Fees

$1,300.00 + gst per person (Group discounts apply)

Assessment

Assessment is completed by the instructor who is a Rigger Certifier.
After you are certified as a Level 2 Rigger you will receive a Fulford Cranesafe picture ID wallet card valid for 5 years.
If you want to take the next step and become a certified crane operator, Bigfoot Crane Academy has many options to propel you into a high paying career as a fully certified Level A crane operator.

Entrance requirements

• Proof of Level 1 Rigger Certification

• Adequate strength to work with rigging & accessories

Location – Courses can be run at our Bigfoot Crane Academy location or yours.

The Rigging Courses are scheduled on demand and the duration is 1 day.

The fee will be $1,300.00 + gst per person (Includes Level 2 Advanced Rigging Course and Certification Assessment)

Classes are from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (with 30 minutes for lunch) from Monday to Friday.
